Hi! I’m Darlene. And, I want nothing more than to ensure your priceless moments are never missed

A Lifetime of Creating Stories . . .

a hopeless romantic at heart, I love capturing moments of love

So, what could be more fitting than photographing weddings? Capturing the love and joy of creating new families. No matter what your definition of ‘family’ looks like.

I also love the other hallmark events in one’s life, too. You know, where everyone’s gathered to celebrate a milestone birthday, or an engagement. Whatever the reason.

It’s the intimate, unexpected moments, in particular, that are my fave.

A life-long career of managing large events

When you need someone who knows who to call on to get things done. Someone who understands a schedule of events, a timeline, how to keep things moving and on time. I’m your person. Having managed annual meetings, and corporate events for upwards of 700 people, there’s not a detail that goes unnoticed. I’ve got your back from the moment we start the process right through to delivering you your prized photographs.

each click of my shutter is actually filled with three lifetimes of photographic experience

Raised by my grandparents, my grandad was a professional photographer. He put my first camera in my hand and taught me about f-stops around the same time I learned the alphabet. You could say it’s in my blood… quite literally. (Yes, that’s me with the ‘Polaroid Camera Demonstration’ table behind me. haha. Let’s just say I bring a lifetime of experience and leave it at that, shall we? haha)

Not only was my grandad a photographer, so was his father!

You can see in this picture, my great grandfather’s brother looking on at himself while he chops wood. Their sister watching from the background.

In today’s terms this would be called a double exposure. To create this picture they would have literally had to expose half the film, then cover the lens, reset the scene, and then exposed the other half. This photo would have been taken circa late 1800’s to early 1900’s. Cool, huh?!

AND…

I’m here to make sure your family story is captured and preserved forever. And, much like mine, passed on for generations to come.

For Everything priceless
